CONFORMATION SHOWING (Dog Shows)

WHAT HAPPENS: Dogs are judges on their conformation (body, coat etc) as per the registered standard with the Australian National Kennel Association. Types of shows include Championship shows, where dogs can compete and gains points toward their champion title. Open shows are great for training judges, owners and dogs it is also where dogs that have their champion title may compete. Parades are the same as an open show but champions can not compete. This is a brief description on dog showing, to understand dog showing better try to see some dog shows, watch, ask, learn and get to know the people that are involved with showing for all the inside information needed.

WHAT DOGS DOES IT SUIT: Conformation shows are open to all registered pedigree dogs. Any and all dogs love this great social day and so will the owners!

WHY DO IT: Showing your dog is very rewarding, confidence building, fun and a great day out for you, your dog and the whole family. You will gain a better understanding of your dog and able you to become more knowledgeable about other breeds as well.
